Drummers use so many joints and limbs throughout every performance and practice. Some may not think about the consequences that drumming has on your body; some learn the hard way. After rehearsals, drummers may experience a sore back or slight tingling in their hands.

Various outside factors could also contribute to your injuries, but you should always maintain your body’s overall health.

Improper drumming techniques, such as hitting too hard, gripping the sticks too tightly, or playing too tensely, are contributing pain & injury factors also, including the position of your drums and cymbals.

Playing with the wrong techniques for a while can lead to sprains, tennis or golfer’s elbow injuries, tendonitis, strains, or carpal tunnel syndrome.
